samhain 1.2.10 by rainer (http://freshmeat.net/users/rainer/) Monday, October 22nd 2001 11:58 Category: Security About: samhain is a file integrity monitoring daemon that can optionally be used as a client/server application for centralized monitoring of networked hosts. Databases and configuration files can be stored on the server. samhain supports signed database/configuration files, signed, tamper-resistant reports/audit logs, and authenticated+encrypted client/server connections. samhain has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD, AIX 4.1, HP-UX 10.20, Unixware 7.1.0, and Solaris 2.6. Changes: Two alternative file checksum algorithms (MD5 and SHA-1) have been added. A minor problem which occurred when running on Win2K in the Cygwin environment has been fixed.
