This company has one of the largest, most sophisticated network communications environments in the world consisting of multi-OS Unix (SUN/AIX), NT, Mainframe SNA, WAN/LAN, Unix to Unix, NT to NT, etc. This is a 40,000 + node network, and one of the largest Microsoft NT installations in the world. We are seeking a Senior Communications Security Specialist that can take a lead role in evaluating, and improving our network security. This position will be responsible for defining security policies and procedures, security audits, intrusion detection, encryption, and general communications security planning and implementation. This position requires senior level Unix systems and network administration experience. Strong understanding of NT related connectivity and security issues. Strong IP experience diagnosing and troubleshooting routed network communications. Strong understanding of firewalling and VPNs. Experience evaluating and implementing communications security policies and procedures in a large enterprise. Experience with intrusion detection and prevention.
