Responsibilities: Develops and recommends enterprise information security policies, standards and guidelines. Implements, manages and maintains corporate Information Security Standards Program. Assists the Director in determining strategic data and information security requirements for the corporation. Develops necessary project plans and oversees the implementation of approved projects. Identify and resolve computer security weaknesses, operational issues and audit concerns with existing applications, hardware implementations and legacy systems. Manages resources to ensure department and corporate plans and objectives are met. Assigns resources to work on IT project teams requiring technical security expertise, monitors progress and ensures project objectives are being met. Prepares budgets, cost estimates and resource plans as required for assigned areas. Assists in the development and implementation of corporate wide security awareness training programs as they relate to the use of computer systems, computer applications, networks and Internet technology. Ensures the availability of qualified and trained information security personnel. Provides training, assists with career development and conducts performance appraisals for staff. Leads, coaches and mentors staff to assist in their growth and professional development. Provides leadership to emphasize operational efficiency, a sense of team, value-added results and alignment with both department and corporate goals. As directed, conducts, oversees or manages investigations relating to theft of information resources, abuse of computer systems or violation of Information Security policies. Performs other projects or special assignments as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and at least 8-10 years progressive experience in information security positions with at least 4 years in a management or supervisory role. Must be familiar with security software products and audit tools used in both mainframe and distributed environments. Knowledge of MVS, RACF, Windows NT, TCP/IP, firewall products and Internet security required, as well as understanding how to implement application level security controls and mechanisms. Analytical, teamwork, organization, project and time management skills are critical.
