Information Security Engineers: Locations: CT, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, Washington D.C. , VA Description: Icons Inc., a growing Information Security firm based in Princeton, NJ is seeking experienced Information Security Engineers. Security Engineers are responsible for implementation of network and security solutions for client engagements. They perform analysis, specification, design, implementation, integration, and testing of our client's security infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with other technical team members as well as any members of the client's information security team. Requirements: This job requires 6-8 years of work experience and a related four-year degree. Masters in an Information Systems curriculum is desired, but not a prerequisite. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are a must. Engineer should have expertise in the following areas: * Current technologies including packet filtering, statefull inspection, application level proxies, and two or more of the following large commercial firewall products: Checkpoint Firewall-1, Axent Raptor, Gauntlet, Cisco Pix. Experience with one of the integrated firewall products, such as a Nokia, is preferred, but not a prerequisite. * Intrusion detection technologies and procedures, Incident response techniques. * Authentication systems including network based, token-based, public-key based, and symmetric key systems, such as Kerberos. * Operating system security in one or more flavors of Unix / Linux, as well as Microsoft Windows Network architecture * Installation of routing and switching environments. Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching experience are preferred. Familiarity with routing protocols such as BGP, EGRIP is also required.
