Wanted: Security Engineer/Senior Security Engineer Location: Brookfield, WI Rapidly expanding Managed Services Provider has an opening for a Security Engineer and Senior Security Engineer. Responsibilities will include; analyzing and enforcing network security policies, perform daily security review tasks for client and corporate IT infrastructures, assist in application server setup from the security perspective, monitor infrastructure security on a daily basis to identify security attacks or potential security attacks, participate as needed in special projects. The Security Engineer will develop and maintain internal and client security policies, assist in security tool selection, design and implement secure network architectures, and execute various client and internal monitoring and maintenance activities. The candidate should be familiar with firewall configuration and maintenance, leading security tools and technologies such as IDS systems and packet filters. Firewall certification is a plus. A working knowledge of NAT, VPNs, proxies, filters and various encryption technologies and methods for implementation would be ideal. You also must know various authentication approaches including physical tokens, biometric techniques and other technologies such as Secure ID, callback, etc. in various LAN/WAN and remote client environments. You should be familiar with both UNIX and NT from a security perspective; routers, firewalls and access-lists. The ideal candidate (Senior) will have at least 3 years experience with security, TCP/IP networking, and be familiar with security organizations such as CERT and SANS. The successful candidates will have a sound knowledge of LAN/WAN internetworking technology, including network protocols, operating and management systems, with SOLID hands on experience. Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking is also essential. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in various application integration projects, to support our ISP/MSP/ASP offerings. The candidate will be involved in implementing and supporting leading-edge technology solutions both internally and for our clients.
