I am currently employed as a Systems Consultant with a subject matter of expertise in LAN/WAN security and Windows 2000 Infrastructure. As a Systems Consultant, I have many responsibilities, including providing security recommendations for enterprise-wide networks, and planning and implementing Windows 2000 networks. I have over four years of NT & Windows 2000 administration experience. I also have extensive experience as a systems administrator and helpdesk manager. I am looking to sharpen my security skills further by working as a Security Specialist or Consultant with responsibilities including, but not limited to: Windows 2000, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Cisco Routers and Switches, Sniffers, Check Point Firewall -1, VPN implementation, PKI, and encryption technologies. I have the following experience in the Information Security field: 08-2000 to Present Systems Consultant § Consulting and design, implementation, administration, & troubleshooting in the field of Information Security.§ Information Security technologies include: Network discovery & management tools, network sniffers, PGP/PKI, Intrusion Detection Systems, Port Scanners, Internet penetration testing, Firewall design and implementation, Network security scanners, Host Security Scanners, and Server Hardening. Security focused on e-commerce sites and FTP/WWW. § Consulting and Infrastructure design, implementation, administration & troubleshooting. Phone support and troubleshooting for Check Point Firewall -1, including Network Address Translation (NAT). § Infrastructure technologies including implementation, administration, and troubleshooting: Windows 2000 Server and Professional, Windows NT Server, Workstation, and 9x. Compaq RAS, ARCServe, and InfoSpan. § Management responsibilities involved scheduling a statewide rollout of Windows 98 for approximately 5000 workstations, and the management of 20-25 contracted employees. 08-1997 to 01-1999 Information Resources Coordinator II, Helpdesk Manager § Administrator for all library servers (NetWare & NT), primary server support on alternate weeks and weekends. § Daily troubleshooting and technical support of Windows 95/NT workstations on a 500 workstation LAN, including installing and configuring hardware, software, & peripheral devices on public and staff computers. § Management including the scheduling and supervision of 4 helpdesk technicians.
