I've been deluged in mail from people saying various things complementary and derogatory as well as taking me up on my offer. Can I short circuit a lot of the latter - I do have a life and a 'day job' so I can't possibly keep replying, by giving this reference for the various security certifications and related courses. It covers a wide spectrum. I emphasise once again that there is a lot more to security than technology. Just excuse you're good at the technology side doesn't mean that you'll be good at security in the sense of corporate governance. Please also note that a vendor certification in even a security product doesn't mean that you are dealing with security as a business process. But then a MBA doesn't tell you how to approach defining and implementing a perimeter protection policy. Remember also that InfoSec is just one small part of security landscape. http://www.securitywatch.com/TRE/062001.html To quote from the article Take a wander through the landscape of infosec certification and you will encounter a morass of acronyms, training and exam fees, claims and counterclaims. Pete Thomas, Editor of SecurityWatch, and Tony Rich, Account Director of UK IT security recruitment specialists Acumin <http://www.acumin.co.uk/>, help you find your way. Anton J Aylward
