Hi all,
My employer called in the receivers just before paying salaries for
July, so I'm job hunting a couple of months earlier than expected.
I've been working chiefly as a web developer (Perl, Apache) for the
last four years, but I've managed to wrangle an increasing percentage
of security into my actual activites. I've read around the subject
obsessively; in my last job, I got to help design our DMZ, do ad-hoc
incident response, run IDS and vulnerability scanners, helped write
our AUP and so on, as well as getting responsibility for the
security-related aspects of the backend programming for the sites we
built. I think the time's right to make the jump to a full-time
security position (although I'd welcome any feedback from the more
experienced listees if there's anything significant missing from my
CV.)
