    (PIX, Firewall-1 Gauntlet, Sidewinder, Raptor, FWTK), Cisco choke and access
    routers. Security Policies written, Security Training & Security Audits done
    for 9 Silicon Valley based companies, including BBN (GTE) Internetworking,

    Security Consultant 1999 - 2000 (1 Year)  (name left off due to
    confidentiality agreement)
    
    Consulting position writing firewall ECRs for complex, and extensive
    worldwide networks.  Each ECR involved up to 9 firewalls, and were mostly
    for Gauntlet, with some Firewall 1 and PIX.  There were 4 contract renewals,
    and I left to build my offices in Hawaii, giving 2 months notice.
    
    SUN MICROSYSTEMS: Systems Engineer 1994 - 1995
    
    Sun and Solaris Evangelist accompanied Sales personnel on pre-sales calls.
    Resolved Sun Customer's network centric problems.  Recommended Sun
    Networking solutions: Firewall-1, Sun Net Manager, Solstice Enterprise
    Manager, Netra, ULTRA computing,  Oracle database server, JAVA etc. Helped
    Customers Design and Maintain their UNIX networks, computing, Oracle
    database  server, JAVA programming etc. Helped Customers Design and Maintain
    their UNIX networks.
    
    
    
    AUSPEX SYSTEMS: -Senior UNIX/Network Training- 1992 - 1994
    
    Responsibilities include teaching 3 classes: Network Management, Systems
    Administration and Field Service, with focus on Solaris, Sun Net Manager,
    Optivity 5.X and NetMetrix. Created the Field Service support video.
    Networked heterogeneous internets running Solaris and, SunOS. networking
    with FDDI, MLT3, Demonstrated how to use RIP, GATED, Web server, TCP/IP,
    SNMP, DNS, Sendmail, etc.
    
    SUN MICROSYSTEMS: -UNIX/Network Admin. Training- 1987 - 1992
    
    Responsibilities include teaching and administering 8 labs for 3 classes:
    System Administration, Advanced System Administration, and SunNet Manager.
    Networked Sun desktops and servers running Solaris 1.X - 2.2, RIP, NFS,
    Automount, NIS, TCP/IP, SNMP. MIBS, Ufsdump(1M), format(8), etherfind(8),
    traffic(8), shell and C Programming. Trained > 1,000 Customers, including
    certifying other Trainers. Averaged 90++% for 3 months on Customer
    Satisfaction and Technical Knowledge. Demonstrated strong communication and
    leadership skills.
    
    
    SUN MICROSYSTEMS FEDERAL: - Systems Manager- 1986 - 1987
    
    Performed a wide range of tasks involving Security, Systems Software, and
    Network Management. Wrote security programs to protect servers in an
    Engineering environment where C2 and B1 were designed. Managed 4 networks of
    over 200 workstations. Administered Usenet news & UUCP for all of Sun
    Milpitas. Asked to speak at LISA seminar on network backup scheme. Managed
    two move projects.
    
    
    THE WOLLONGONG GROUP: -Project Manager- 1985 - 1986
    
    Created makefiles which would generate TCP/IP releases Following good
    Configuration Management practices. Tracked, plotted, and graphed
    engineering hours on Mac and Sun 3/160. Designed Project Plans. Coordinated
    seven engineering projects, and communications between the networks.
    Implemented a private network off the corporate backbone to get work done in
    timely manner.
    
    MICROPORT: (Digital Research): -Release Manager- 1984 - 1985
    
    Managed the release process (56 diskettes) and interfaced with the
    world-wide BETA sites. Wrote dozens of shell scripts and C programs, which
    automated the release process. System/Network Manager for Engineering,
    Management, and Graphics departments. Resolved BETA installation problems,
    and cooling problems in quarter million dollar lab.
    
    WESTERN MICRO SYSTEMS: -MIS Manager/Database Designer- 1983 - 1984
    
    Sole responsibility for all new systems development. Designed, developed,
    installed, and trained users in the use of all new in-house systems. Used
    strong communications skills to lead users in various departments.
    
    DELTA DENTAL PLAN: -Programmer Analyst- CALIFORNIA DENTAL SERVICE:
    Programmer/Systems Designer 1982 - 1983
    Designed, developed, installed and maintained programs and JCL. Eight major
    programs were written. Trained the accountants in the use of the Accounting
