    Entercept Security Technologies is looking for a Security Content
    Researcher.  This person needs to be very focused with almost a
    scientist mentality and be tenacious at hunting down and understanding
    exploits.  This person also needs to be able to work with the Security
    Researchers to develop agents for the exploits discovered.  The position

    [Job Description]
    
    The Security Content Researcher covers new and past security issues and
    translates his/her understanding of these issues into content for the
    company's security product Entercept. Day to day activities include
    analysis of emerging security issues, exploitation of vulnerabilities in
    Entercept's secure environment and creation of security content. Other
    activities are development of application protection and hardening of
    operating systems.
    
    Requirements
    
    Skills - (System)
    
    A thorough understanding of the Windows operating system on
    administration level; ability to configure and install Windows NT and
    Windows 2000 operating systems, operating system components and third
    party applications
    
    Ability to analyze exploits that are written in C or in a scripting
    language like Perl. Programming experience and deep understanding of
    Operating systems and internals are a clear advantage.   
    
    Skills - (Security)
    
    Understanding of the mechanisms behind security issues such as buffer
    overflows,  Denial of Service, backdoors, worm infection and
    propagation. 
    
    A working knowledge on Windows security issues that have emerged in 1999
    - 2001, in particular with those that involve manipulation of the
    operating system (registry keys, services, etc) and of the Internet
    Information Services.  
    
    Degree and Attributes
    
    We are looking for a person with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
    or Engineering (PhD is an advantage) who possesses excellent analytical
    and research skills.  This person will only be satisfied when a security
    issue is completely understood. Perseverance and a good judgment are
    imperative to be successful in this position.  Programming experience is
    a definite plus.
    
    The person must be flexible and be an effective communicator. Working on
    emerging security issues demands quick responses and good teamwork.
