Title: Senior Security Engineer Our job reference #660 Location: Columbus, OH Salary: Low 80's Summary of Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the design, installation, testing and evaluation of security architecture components. While working on all phases of security engineering, engineer will identify problems on complex system security components covering the entire system security spectrum, from stand-alone to client/server architectures. Engineer will play a senior role in security planning and analysis to provide corporate recommendations and project solutions, and provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior members of the engineering team. The following duties cover what are generally believed to be principal and essential functions of the job. Specific circumstances may allow or require some people assigned to the job to perform a somewhat different combination of duties. 1. Develops detailed project plans, and coordinates the activities of multiple divisions by directing and monitoring project tasks and personnel to assist in project implementation. 2. Conducts and directs analysis of highly complex problems and situations concerning system security and provide solutions. 3. Evaluates proposed and existing complex interrelated systems by systematic using security certification and accreditation methodology. 4. Performs installation of security products by participating in analysis of current system environment, using technical tools and utilities, performing product customization, and developing implementation and verification procedures for implementation of security components. 5. Participates in the analysis of complex problems and situations concerning system security. 6. Consults with application programmers, system administrators, network engineers, and system and operations staff to provide technical information to resolve or clarify security issues. 7. Participates in the development of specialized programs and utilities through the use of advanced techniques to support unique security requirements particular to the Company's environment. 8. Plans and implements information technology division projects and activities. Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science or related field. Bachelor of Science preferred. CISSP preferred. Technical certifications (MCSE, CCIE, etc.) preferred. Experience: Eight years progressive work experience in information security and technical fields. Knowledge: . Broad technical information systems and security background with sufficient depth in at least two technical disciplines. . Knowledge of sophisticated computing and analytical tools. .
