    Federal Sales Director

    Job Description:
    
    The Director of Federal Sales will be responsible for 
    all government customer relationships and revenue 
    generation .  The position will be located in the D.C. 
    locale and report to the Chief Marketing and Sales 
    Officer.  The key objectives will be centered around 
    developing a key reference account with a high 
    profile government agency such as DoD, NSA, CIA, 
    FBI, or the Military.  In addition, the Director will 
    recruit and staff a high caliber government sales 
    organization to meet corporate business objectives.
    
    The candidate should have consistently exceeded 
    quota attainment selling security products into the 
    government sector.  He/She should be a self-starter 
    and comfortable operating from remote 
    headquarters.  
    
    Position Responsibilities:
    
    "	Responsible for revenue and customer 
    facing sales activities for government sector
    "	Responsible for lead generation and 
    account strategy activities to grow the government 
    sales pipeline 
    "	Ability to establish and build senior level 
    relationships with government agencies and 
    contractors
    "	Responsible for Interaction with internal 
    Marketing, Finance and operations departments to 
    develop, communicate, promote and support 
    government sales programs. 
    "	Monitor, track ongoing sales activities and 
    accomplishments including forecasts of all business 
    opportunities and challenges.
    
    Posiition Qualifications:
    
    "	10+ years of successful quota carrying 
    experience for network security products in the 
    government sector.
    "	Working knowledge of firewall and intrusion 
    detection applications.
    "	Must possess a background of selling 
    network security products/applications. Background 
    with networking knowledge is extremely useful.
    "	Experience selling to government agencies
    "	Demonstrated knowledge of processes for 
    closing large government transactions, including 
    forecasting, quota attainment and sales 
    presentations. 
    "	The ability to deliver business value to the 
    account and build on customer relationships 
    "	Strong technical knowledge with 
    complementary skills to understand the customers' 
    business drivers and align to our products and 
    services
    "	Ability to attract and manage fed sales 
    personnel to support business growth
    "	Very strong communications, negotiation, 
    writing, and phone skills
    "	Bachelor Degree preferably in Business, 
    Marketing or Engineering.  MBA preferred.
