My client is seeking a Security Engineer to support Secure Computing Practices for Firewalls, Routers and Servers (NT and UNIX) and other systems engineering efforts in one or more of the following disciplines: communications, electronics, communications security, network analysis, command and control mission analysis, interoperability analysis, systems standards and military operations. Must understand concepts for INFOSEC, IPSec, interoperable encryption, strong user authentication, Internet and email content filtering. Work requires thorough knowledge of security concepts and recent developments in the specialty area. Extensive knowledge in the following areas: Windows NT Routers Switches Network Topology Penetration Testing Risk Assessments Vulnerability Assessments Policies Procedures Security Plan Development Cisco Products - routers switches, dialin servers - IDS Security Clearance - ability to receive a Minimum Secret NIST Standards NSA Standards Contingency Planning Disaster Recovery Planning Intrusion Detection Systems Education: BS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, and four (4) years experience in area of specialization. Four additional years of acceptable experience in technically related field may be used as a substitute for the BS Degree. Compensation is hourly, and based on experience, but will include benefits - medical, dental, vacation, 401k.
