Primary Duties: * Support the Enterprise Security Infrastructure including management of compliance monitoring system, host based intrusion detection, and network based intrusion detection. * Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessment of corporate systems. * Perform oversight of firewall rule sets and policy management. Participate in the incident response team and perform forensic analysis of any attempted break-ins. * Work with other groups to provide security recommendations for new and existing projects. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent related experience. * CERTIFICATIONS SUCH AS CISSP IS HIGHLY PREFERED * 3 to 5 years of experience in UNIX system administration in a large computing environment. * Requires solid knowledge of UNIX system administration) installation, upgrades, Sendmail, DNS, bind, etc.) * Requires solid knowledge of firewall technologies such as CheckPoint and Gauntlet. * Experience with the installation, setup, and support of Intrusion Detection Systems such as Intrusion.com products and Snort. * Have a solid understanding of UNIX system security vulnerabilities and security tools such as TCP Wrappers, Secure Shell (SSH), Crack, and Tripwire. * Have a solid understanding of Microsoft Win98/Win2K/NT operating systems, networking, and security. * Must have the ability to write, debug, and enhance programs in one or more of the following: C, C Shell, Bourne Shell, or PERL * Experience with Symantec Enterprise Security Manager and Intruder Alert is a plus. * Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be team oriented with the ability to interface at various levels. * Must be able to work occasional off-hours and weekends as well as be available as part of 24X7 support coverage.
