SecurityFocus seeks an individual to assume the role of Junior/Intermediate Computer Security Vulnerability Analyst. Keen interest in computer security is a must. Candidate should have a working understanding of common computer security weaknesses and how they are exploited. Programming ability in C and other languages is a plus. The role often requires the analyst to perform examination of source-code to identify security vulnerabilities. Experience debugging software and QA testing is very helpful. Also beneficial is a solid understanding of malicious code and anti-virus technology. Candidate must possess excellent written English skills. The role includes documentation and reporting of vulnerabilities, experience technical writing is a major plus. Most importantly, the candidate must be curious and a natural problem solver.
