    Senior Security Architect/Engineer (Bay Area, Redwood Shores)
    
    Responsibilities
    The Senior Security Architect will provide essential input for Qualys' 
    Network Security Service (QualysGuard), provide product development input, 
    and assure the security of Qualys' Infrastructure. This is a highly 
    technical hands-on role. Review existing Qualys service offering and 
    suggest improvements as well as identify new market opportunities. Own, 
    measure, detect and improve the security infrastructure and 
    products/services. Perform security architectural reviews of 
    existing/planned IT and production infrastructure. Act as a resource to 
    internal Qualys departments (Development, Operations, Business 
    Development, Marketing, QA) for security related topics. Keep abreast of 
    security patches and consistently update our product and infrastructure. 
     
    Qualifications
    Must possess strong experience w/ Linux security.
    Must have experience designing/developing security based products/services 
    and securing internal networks. Requires extensive R&D, design, and 
    implementation experience. Must have strong experience working with 
    Firewalls, IDS, VPN, scanners, encryption, security consulting, SSL, 
    IPSec, penetration and vulnerability assessment. Perform regular Security 
    Audits and Pen Tests on the Qualys infrastructure. Must possess excellent 
    writing, presentation and oral communication skills and work well with 
    people, selling and driving ideas through the company. 5+ years relevant 
    security experience. Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or 
    Mathematics preferred.
