    Title: Network Engineer- Secure Systems 
    
    Description: Network Appliance, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced 
    security and network professional to manage and implement secure/hardened 
    builds, systems and applications. As a member of the network services 
    group this position will also be responsible for providing secondary 
    firewall and network support. 
    
    Required Skills and Experience: 
     *NIX Security (Solaris, FreeBSD, Linux, DNS, sendmail, SSH, etc.) 
     Windows System and Infrastructure Security (NT, 2K, XP, Sever, Exchange, 
    DNS, Active Directory, etc.) 
     Trusted Solaris a plus. 
     Application and network security architectures. 
     Firewalls (Checkpoint / Nokia, IP Filter, Netscreen) 
     IDS (Recourse Manhunt and Mantrap) 
     Network and security troubleshooting. 
     Team Player 
     Inter-personal Communication 
     Project Oriented 
     Customer Focused (internal corporate customers) 
    
    Skills and Experience that are a plus: 
     Protocol Analysis (tcpdump, Sniffer, Ethereal) 
     Project Management 
     Checkpoint Provider 1 
     Nokia Horizon Management Solution
    
    Primary Responsibilities: 
     Management and rollout of customer-facing application(s) in regards to 
    security. 
     Management of initial architecture and kickoff meetings. 
     Host security and hardening of existing and new systems (Unix, 
    Microsoft). 
     Organizational Communication 
     Documentation 
     Ongoing architecture support and management.
    
    Secondary Responsibilities: 
     Day-to-day management of the corporate firewalls, IDS', and VPN systems. 
     Development of corporate policies, processes, and procedures. 
     Network engineering support.
