    This position is an internal, full-time permanent position within our 
    internal Information Technology Services department (not at a client).  
    Please note that all candidates MUST meet the following requirements:
    
    1. US Citizen or Permanent Resident (no sponsorships)
    2. Have at least 3 years advanced firewall/IDS experience at or supporting 
    a Fortune 1000 enterprise. (This position will support HQ and 700+ field 
    offices).
    3. Be willing to relocate to South Florida.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The ITS Security Analyst is responsible for assisting with the planning, 
    development, management and implementation of both short and long-range 
    Information Security strategies.
    
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Deployment and administration of corporate firewalls, antivirus software, 
    intrusion detection systems, web proxies, web filtering software and 
    remote access systems.
    Conduct vulnerability assessments on a periodic basis.
    Daily monitoring for anomalies through system logs or system and network 
    surveillance software.
    Daily monitoring of news and security bulletins to maintain adequate 
    alertness and corporate system integrity.
    Maintaining due care through due diligence appropriate for corporate 
    environments. Following and implementing best practices.
    Assist in the development, review and update of all Information Security 
    policies and procedures.
    Recommend specific improvements to Information Security and internal 
    controls.
    Assist Information Technology Services to maintain acceptable service 
    level commitments.
    Provides regular updates to management and end-users on the status of 
    projects. Establishes and maintains completion schedules, and reports any 
    deviations to management in a timely manner. 
    Obtain a working knowledge of Spherion’s business unit products, 
    practices, requirements, and applications.
    Complete other assignments as requested by management.
    
    REQUIREMENTS: 
    BS in Computer Science or equivalent and 2 years experience in information 
    security field OR 5 years experience in the information security field.
    Hands on experience administering firewalls, intrusion detection systems, 
    antivirus software and other information security tools in a corporate 
    environment.
    Experience in policy and procedure development, user awareness campaigns 
    and risk assessment and data classification.
    Firm understanding of networking protocols.
    Strong working knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems.  
    Knowledge of Linux/AIX is a plus.
    Demonstrated project management skills.
    Willingness and desire to learn, improve, and contribute.
    Proactive, productive approach to assigned tasks.
    Ability to work constructively in a team environment. 
    Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    Strong organizational skills with orientation towards detail.
    Flexibility and versatility to bridge diverse technology areas.
    Ability to manage customer expectations, set realistic goals, and achieve 
    timely results.
    Work schedule flexibility.
