    Developed a backup policy utilizing Veritas Netbackup for NT and coordinated

    ·  Performed a network analysis of a public utilities company to expose network 
    bottlenecks and assess the security posture of the systems and the network.  
    Optimized the tape backup system to perform efficiently.
    ·  For a city planner’s office, upgraded the office technology from a DOS based 
    Lantastic environment to the current Windows 2000 and Windows NT4.0 network.  
    Implemented PDC/BDC with WINS, DHCP, and DNS.  I also reconfigured the Bay 
    Networks Instant Internet 400 unit network protocols from IPX/SPX to TCP/IP

    ·  Migrated the corporate office of a national insurance company from Token 
    Ring to Ethernet and installed and configured their domain controller utilizing 
    NT 4.0.  The conversion included installing and configuring new network 
    hardware and Network Interface Cards for all desktops and printers.
    
    Small Computer Systems Specialist, United States Marine Corps, Oct 1994 – Oct 
    1998
    ·  Managed and administrated mainframe security for an entire organization 
    which included granting and monitoring access to 87 subordinate security 
    officers, and over 1000 user accounts in three different geographical sites 
    utilizing CA Top Secret.  Provided daily support to six SNA 3270 services to 
    accommodate all users.  Provided recommendations and solutions to the security 
    officer on mainframe issues and contributed all HP-UX experience when needed.  
    Lead administrator and network planner for GCCS and TCO network utilizing UNIX 
    platforms and TCP/IP.
    ·  Served as Assistant Network Chief for a large Marine Corps support 
    organization overseas with the responsibility of overall administration of a 
    multi-platform network consisting of 40 Banyan Vines servers, six NT servers, 
    and 230 services.  Administered e-mail gateways through X.500 and SMTP.
    ·  Additional responsibilities included providing the LAN team direction, 
    guidance, supervision, and implementation of server upgrades, cable 
    conversions, hardware installations, and software configurations.  Helped 
    maintain a help desk available 24/7 providing customer support to over 2500 
    users.  
    ·  As a Small Computer Systems Specialist in a Marine Corps division, 
    administered over 2000 user accounts and 300 services on a Banyan Vines network 
    consisting of links to 49 servers.  Provided help desk support and training for 
    all users and technicians in need.  Produced NATURAL programming extracts upon
