    The Security Engineer is responsible for analysis, architecture, design, and implementation of security architectures. 
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.     Technology Evaluation (40%)
    Compare different technology solutions to determine technical pros and cons Install and integrate relevant products for the project. Test products based on the goals of the project and determine the best solution.
    
    Technology Research (40%)
    Detects new technology trends and innovative applications. Leverages the expertise developed in FT R&D France in order to identify complementary technologies and sweet spots. Meets with vendors to learn about relevant technologies. Keeps the knowledge of the team on the cutting-edge.
    
     
    
    Communication (20%)
    Requirements Analysis to ensure development of customer needs. Participates in forums, conferences and relevant seminars. Write reports or documentation as necessary. Present work and demos.
    
    QUALIFICATIONS: 
    Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in the security industry/ security officer.
    
    Full exposure to a complete security architecture design (from informal requirements to an actual implementation) Technical skills: 
    Theoretical and working knowledge of network security techniques (VPN, Access Control, Intrusion Detection). Good understanding of network access technologies (xDSL, dialup, cable, satellite network access architectures). Good knowledge of security management tools and standards (Security management, Trust infrastructure). Experience as a security administrator/security officer is a plus. Practical knowledge of host based security solutions is a plus. Due to the R&D context, experience in writing technical reports, analysis and synthesis would be required. 
    Ability to communicate R&D results to clients, partners and colleagues is critical. Strong interpersonal, analytical and logical skills Leadership capability and maturity to work through the organization to accomplish goals. 
    Ability to work closely with team members and other functional organizations. 
    Self-starter who is highly organized, learns quickly, and is a team player. 
    Fluent French language skills a plus.
