    Security Engineer.
    
    Location: Mountain View. CA
    
    Duties:
    
    This is an intermediate-level Security Engineer position that is 
    responsible for the System and Network security of Terra Lycos’s US 
    network. Responsibilities will include researching 
    vulnerabilities/exploits using various TCP/IP packet debugging tools and 
    developing algorithms/signatures to detect them.  This person will be 
    responsible for day-to-day tasks required to maintain corporate security 
    infrastructure including log analysis, trend reporting, firewall and vpn 
    administration, security bulletin analysis, implementation of new security 
    measures, and performing security assessments. This person will also be 
    dealing with security vendors. This person will report to Network and 
    Security Manager.
    
    
    Requirements:
    
    Ability to be action-oriented; ability to work with minimum supervision 
    and set priorities; excellent problem solving skills; good written and 
    Verbal communication skills; CISSP certification or computer security 
    Experience background preferred; Good knowledge of VPN (site to site and 
    remote access), VPN gear (Cisco, Netscreen), Firewall administration 
    specifically Checkpoint Firewall on Nokia, Radius/TACACS+, Access-lists 
    and Auditing.  Excellent knowledge of Unix (Solaris, Linux), Win2K, 
    TCP/IP, Routing protocols and IDS/IDP technologies, Vulnerability 
    assessment tools such as ISS Scanner, Host and Internet/ Nessus. Very good 
    knowledge and hands on experience in DOS attacks and prevention methods. 
    Experience with Sniffers is required.   The candidate should have 5+ years 
    experience as Security Engineer.  Bachelor's degree in computer science or 
    equivalent work experience.
