Heya all, I am writing to restate two requirements for the lists. 1. UPPER CASE INFORMERCIAL TYPE POSTINGS WILL NOT GET APPROVED!!! Picture yourself wading through job postings first thing in the morning. Now assume you're still taking in your first coffee. Now add to that picture dozens of messages that are written like a bad infomercials where all high points are in upper (screaming) case. These messages read as if the audience is likely to be just slightly retarded and needs the extra emphasis. This is my morning and reading this stuff eventually starts to get very annoying. Trust me on this, if the candidate needs the upper case to digest the points you are trying to get across then you likely don't want them fixing your lawnmower - let alone have them foisted onto your trusting clients or co-workers. I understand that at times it is required but please use your judgment. 2. X-Posting Please do not do it. When other lists chat with our lists often the mailers start to choke, people get littered with bounces and life in general becomes less pleasant. So please, do not do it unless you absolutely have to and if you do please mail me as an aside so I just do not delete it out of hand. Alfred Huger Symantec Corp.
