This position is for an independent, security project manager, who has experience in setting long term information security strategy along with some hands on technical skills to tackle various IT security evaluations and projects such as a VPN solution for remote users. There is an open-ended security initiative, which is well funded and backed by the CEO. The security program will also be adhering to and receiving funds from our nationwide Homeland Security initiative. The first project will be a VPN implementation. They are also looking at building some redundant firewalls using Nokia IPSO. They have some NG boxes on board and would like to implement a full scale IDS soon as well. There is also a need for the design and implementation of security policies and procedures and perhaps some educational programs. You will also be hardening servers and their server infrastructure. We are looking for a veteran here, who doesn't need much direction and who can also be a team player and mentor.
