Responsibilities include: leading the development/implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines for Information Systems contingency plans; conducting detailed risk analyses to implement risk mitigation plans; developing and overseeing the implementation of disaster recovery architectures, strategies, and tactical plans; designing and implementing systems back-up and recovery plans based on business impact analyses. The Disaster Recovery Specialist is also responsible for long-range disaster recovery planning to provide the highest level of protection possible for the enterprise. Develops and maintains disaster recovery procedures with the various user departments and enterprise business units. Performs at or above the enterprise's Information Technology performance standards. Must have skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, other technical discipline, or equivalent (Advanced degree desired).; 5 years of relevant experience IT.; Advanced knowledge of the computer hardware and software environment, problem management systems, and report distribution systems; Extensive knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Impact Analysis.; Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and program, management skills; Demonstrated ability to motivate and provide leadership to a geographically dispersed work force; and the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally, strong experience with Sun Guard and Veritas.
