I think this is definately off topic now but I must jump in. The threat of bombs had nothing to do with the fall of the Soviet Union. The failure of Socialism had everything to do with it. The threat of a virus/cyber attack has been blown way out of proportion. Certainly, extra precautions are called for...but I can't envision the collapse of Western society stemming from a cyber attack. All too often we (as technology pros) make the mistake of assuming that the world revolves around the Internet.
