A court in China's Hubei province sentenced a computer hacker to a
year's imprisonment last week. Wang Qun was found to have "invaded" a
job service site, changed its homepage and added the announcement
"welcome to join the China hacker's alliance". He was also accused of
breaking into other web sites. The court decided Wang's behavior
"constituted the crime of damaging computer systems." Wang said his
behavior was a result of "curiosity".
