Luis Mijangos, 31, was arrested without incident at his home by special agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He is charged with extortion, a felony offense that carries a statutory maximum penalty of two years in federal prison. The arrest follows a six-month investigation by the FBI and Glendale police into Mijangos' involvement in computer hacking, identity theft and video voyeurism. FBI computer forensics experts determined Mijangos infected more than 100 computers used by approximately 230 individuals, at least 44 of whom were juveniles, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
