SPY agencies moved to plug a major national security hole in the Federal 
Parliament after it was discovered computers of several Cabinet 
ministers had been hacked - including Prime Minister Julia Gillard's.

Government sources confirmed measures were now being taken by ASIO to 
make the Parliament House network more secure.

The Government yesterday was still refusing to comment on the spy 
scandal by honouring a long-held tradition to not divulge the operations 
of its intelligence agencies.

But shadow attorney-general George Brandis yesterday confirmed 
intelligence agencies had briefed him on the incident.
