    I think that was my point - no, I don't want to participate in a
    "public" group.  If I wanted that I'd be on Use(less)Net.  I prefer to
    control who has access to my email address.
    
    Unfortunately I can't use tools like SA as it may filter email that
    people expect me to deal with.
