    Sorry, Brian,

Your argument however is that during this period, we ought to BREAK our
normal rules of posting to this mailing list and ALLOW political posts.

This simply is not the medium, war or not.

    Jimmy

What do you mean SPAM? I'm with Crispin, I do not understand how my
opinion that this, or perhaps other wars are unjustified, translates
into disrespect for any class of individuals. I do not accept that
dissent must cease when we go to war. I am reminded of the former POW
who related the story about how while being held in Hanoi he was shown a
picture anti-war protests taking place in the US and was told that this
was evidence of his folly, on the contrary he observed, this was why he
was fighting, to preserve the way of life that he cherished. To forgo
those freedoms now would be to squander the blood and sacrifice of those
who have risked and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. You are
of course entitled to your opinion. If you are fighting for an America
where everybody has the freedom only to express support for the
government, or the military, then sir I am ready to fight you right now.
