It's not unusual for an e-mail site to have a maximum retention policy. You should check your ISP's use policies. They probably tell you they will delete anything that is over 30 days old. Otherwise their servers fill up and cease to be able to server their customers. Kevin E. I have an email service with a DSL provider. I discovered yesterday that their server is deleting all my emails that are one month old even the ones that are moved from inbox and saved to specific folders. My questions are: 1. Is this common practice with other service providers? 2. Is there a liability issue with the provider by deleting saved emails without prior warning/notification? 3. Do I have legal right to ask the provider to bring back the deleted emails? (I guess they have them somewhere in their backups).
