This is an apology and explanation letter. While I have been sick, the activity I choose is TV production and news. I am against the patriot act and subsequent acts for reasons I will explain later, but I still am willing to listen to the other side. All I wanted for this production was to tape Charles Gorden, slap a intro and end on it and call it good. I don't have the energy to do more. If I was notified that I could not tape a week before, my reaction would not have been the same as learning the night before. I am just one in the swelling grassroots movement that opposes the Patriot Act. One of the issues is lack of judicial over site. The balance of power is upset by the Patriot Act. In the Patriot Act "Voluntary Disclosure" is used in banking and communications. What prevents the abuse of this voluntary disclosure for personal or political gains? I wanted to demonstrate that privacy is important. I went there with a camera and shot pictures of trees and logs, but one agent inferred that I was taking pictures of people in a public place, so he threatened to call the police on privacy issues. I guess every one wants privacy! Q. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes A.
