Craig, I run a lab similar to yours for a gov agency. We are upgrading to a fiber channel network with a tape library and dvd/r carousel. I felt that being able to move data across the network would require something faster than gigabit ethernet. Being able to archive the images taken in reasonable time meant a dedicated high speed tape system. Once to tape the dvd/r can be used for permanent storage of the images and evidence. With the size of hard drives ever increasing, any way to improve the work flow time is a benefit. I have not found any problem with encase and the storage devices. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This list is provided by the SecurityFocus ARIS analyzer service.
