Not sure if my post was clear enough, but the required step prior to being able to select mounting any logical raid volumes as read-only contained within the raid set is the initialization of the raid set itself. It is this process that blows the integrity of the raid set (my opinion), MD5 hashes are different as soon as the software initialization has completed.
