    Hi all,

    The Honeynet Project, Honeynet Research Alliance, and Azusa Pacific
    University Honeynet Project have released the Scan of the Month for April
    2003. This Scan of the Month is suitable for analysts of beginning and
    intermediate skill.

    The Scan involves a series of attacks on a vulnerable Windows 2000 host
    that resulted in the host being incorporated into a large botnet consisting
    of at least 15,164 distinct hosts. The data to be analyzed consists of
    obfuscated Snort logs collected over several days of honeynet operation.

    The details of the latest Scan of the Month are available at:

    	<http://www.honeynet.org/scans/scan27/>

    The deadline for submissions is 24:00 GMT, Friday, April 25, 2003. Results
    will be released Friday, May 2, 2003. You may submit responses to only the
    Beginning Questions or both the Beginning and Intermediate Questions.
    Submissions will be separately judged by members of the Azusa Pacific
    University Honeynet Project, based on the set(s) of questions answered.

    Cheers,
