I will be attending the IEEE/Oakland conference in May'02. Oakland is the Mount Olympus of security conferences, but is somewhat more theoretical than many of the LSM participants. I might attend the NDSS conference in San Diego in February'02, especially if motivated by an LSM BOF. NDSS is a very high quality conference, with a lot of well-founded theory and practical work, and an emphasis on network security. BOF's at USENIX and USENIX Security seem obvious, but it's a tad early to start planning them.
