But isn't there a group already working on getting these (or something
like them) into the kernel?  And the current kernel code would have to
change a bit to support them.  Then, when that code is in, I see no
reason why the LSM patch would not be changed to handle them.

Or is the ACL group looking at using the LSM patch to achieve their
goals?
