    That would require patching the procfs code.  And it doesn't seem to be
    favored by the maintainer.  Quoting from the code
    (fs/proc/base.c:proc_base_lookup):
    
            /*
             * Yes, it does not scale. And it should not. Don't add
             * new entries into /proc/<pid>/ without very good reasons.
