    Maybe it's reaching, but-

A situation similar to system logging occurs on a computer telephony
platform. Call detail information consists of many events per call
from different subsystems all over the network. Separate calls may be
    related at the application level.

We are revamping our call event/call detail spool. The current
platform that looks most interesting is Ericsson's OTP
(www.erlang.org), which we have used on other projects for distributed
systems with replicated state. Of course, we expect to know all our log
    record formats in advance.
