IIRC, there used to be sort of a table or list that contained error IDs and interpretations, which isn't in any of those IIS 6.0 links contained in the above. Several other vendors -- including IBM and HP -- have apparently removed really helpful logging "dictionaries" and documentation from their sites. I might start mirroring such things on loganalysis to prevent this kind of problem in the future.
