[owl-users] Detect Owl

Moin,

is there a deterministic way to detect Owl? Some distributions use files
in /etc (/etc/debian_version, /etc/arch-release) but there is no such
identifier in Owl. I use the output of uname and grep for owl but maybe
there is a "official" way.
