Hi, I am new to the Nessus community in general, and am looking at using it to put together a custom security scanning solution for my University. I am looking for a plugin that will attempt to determine whether or not the computer being scanned is running F-Secure antivirus client in particular, but am also interested in other clients being checked for. I was unable to find such a plugin on this site or anywhere else on the web, so I am assuming I will have to read up and just write my own. I wanted to solicit your opinions first. Has this been done/attempted before? If not, does this sound technically feasible? Where can I find more information on how to write plugins for nessus?
