Subject: Caesar's wife alleged in link to porn sites...

It's worth noting here the bizarre little tiff between Virginia
gubernatorial candidates Mark Earley and Mark Warner.

Earley returned a campaign donation from Bruce Waldack; he's urging Warner
to return a donation from Bill Melton. Earley returned the Waldack
donation because Waldack's current company, Thruport Technologies, has sold
ad management software to a porn site; Waldack made his big money as the
founder of digitalNation... Thruport's products are pretty catholic, as
everyone from porn to county government sites use ad management
software. Melton, of course, was the founder of CyberCash... Earley
apparently has it on good authority that CyberCash's electronic payment
services have been used by (brace yourself) porn sites!

It's only fair to note that many of us here in the DC-area may have
attended netpreneur-related events sponsored by either of the two ruffians
(not Earley and Warner: Waldack and Melton) cited above; if you're a
regular NPR listener, you've probably been tainted by Waldack's sponsorial
largesse in that department as well.

You might wish to make a note of these possible controversial
entanglements, for disclosure as warranted by future political ambitions.
