[Jack Valenti kicked off his 2003 Morality Tour at Duke University law
school yesterday. The buzz when I was at the law school there last week is
that he got a nice, circa $20K speaking fee. Not bad for an hour's worth of
public relations on behalf of his employer. Wonder if anyone asked him
about the morality of forcibly implanting copy protection technology in all
electronic devices at the behest of one industry group? Anyway, the speech
    text is here: http://www.mpaa.org/jack/2003/2003_02_24.htm --Declan]

    Hi Declan,

I realize this is short notice, but thought DC-area Politech readers might
be interested. Jack Valenti is speaking about copy protection at the
Georgetown Law School tomorrow afternoon at 3:30.

For anyone not familiar with the area, the Law School is at 2nd and F NW,
not on the main Georgetown campus. It's between the Union Station and
    Judiciary Sq. metro stops.

Should be a good time. ;-)
