Turns out the amendment didn't go through due to some
questionable tactics by the GOP.  The original vote *passed*, but
the vote was held open while efforts to persuade vulnerable
Representatives were made.  8 Representatives changed their vote
from yes to no, resulting in a 210-210 tie vote.  Since a
majority is required for passage, the amendment failed.

I have a webpage up with links to the contact page of each
representative who changed their vote, along with a suggested
letter.  This serves as a reminder that liberty is not for
cowards.
