Amazing how temporary fixes become permanent problems.  Thanks for the
ping - it actually impacts me directly.

MIT is hosting a blog on the Real ID Act of 2005, looking at the impact
on digital identity and civil liberties, among other factors.  Froomkin
and others are facilitating discussion tracks.  This will culminate in a
hosted meeting on the topic at the Media Lab at MIT on November 17th of
