    My client has successfully developed a technology 
    that is dramatically impacting the way in which 
    equities are traded.  Although the company is 
    young, it has not been affected by recent market 
    downturns and their business model remains strong. 
    The cultural environment can be described as

    They are looking for someone who wants to be a 
    part of something dynamic and cool.  As you can 
    see by the following description, the requirements 
    are tough. Further, clock punchers need not apply. 
    You really have to be a motivated, up-to-speed, 
    problem solver.  Confidence and competence are 
    prized, arrogance is unacceptable.
                                                 
    Perform complete business and technical 
    assessments of client environment         
    *Architect and design comprehensive Security 
    solutions for specific client                  
    environments 
    *Validate and test Architecture and Design 
    solutions to produce detailed engineering 
    specifications with recommended design and vendor 
    technologies 
    *Use developed engineering specification to 
    implement client Security solution(s) 
    
    Qualifications:
    Network Security Engineer(s) should have a minimum 
    of 3 years experience in large and complex 
    internetworking environments possessing a mixture 
    of the hardware, software, and protocol skills 
    listed below: Expertise in Security products with 
    an emphasis on Cisco, Checkpoint, and IRE product 
    lines is a must 
    *Extensive hands-on experience with network 
    security practices including Intranet, Extranet 
    and Internet access authentication and audit 
    systems; Intrusion detection systems development 
    and implementation; Firewall systems development 
    and deployment; Penetration Test plan development 
    and execution 
    *Ability to effectively communicate with team 
    members, clients and vendors 
    *Ability to clearly present ideas and concepts 
    verbally and in writing (i.e. project 
    requirements, design specifications, etc.)
    
    Hardware: Experience with all router and switch 
    product lines *Sun, AIX, HP-UX Workstation and
    Server product lines 
    
    Software: Windows NT, Sun, AIX, HP-UX Workstation 
    and Server product lines 
    *Expert knowledge of DES encryption, Digital 
    Certificates, SSL, VPN and other Security
    toolssuch as Tripwire, TCP, Wrapper, Cops, Satan, 
    Port Scanner, ISS, and Sniffer
    *Detailed experience with designing information 
    Security infrastructure elements such
    as Firewalls, VPNs, DMZs, Certification Authority, 
    Security Monitoring systems, Directory Services 
    and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) *Knowledge of 
    Authentication methods such as RADIUS, 
    TACACS/TACACS+ and SecurID 
    
    Protocols:
    Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, NIS, DNS, NFS, 
    POP, HTTP, PPP, INN, and NNTP *Expertise in Public 
    Key Infrastructure (PKI), IPSec, Authentication, 
    Intruder Detection, Security Audit Processes and 
    Encryptions standards
    
    Reporting Structure:
    
    This position will be reporting directly to the VP 
    of Networking & Information Systems
    and have no direct reports initially.
