THE POSITION SUMMERY: You will be needed to provide direction and achieve results through the design, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise IT security environment encompassing my client and it's two divisional companies. Assessing new products and methods, developing and implementing appropriate IT security policies and procedures, and implementing security administrations functions across multiple operation systems and hardware platforms. Internal negotiation/communication skills on security issues are critical. You will be managing eight + senior security analysts. THE POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement aggressive technology strategies that support business requirements and drive business change. Provide direction and leadership through technical subject matter expertise resulting in efficient and effective information technology products and services. Facilitate the implementation of an enterprise security environment. Serve as technical consultant on security issues for operations systems, database and applications projects. Coach and mentor Directors, Peers, and Associates in the area of security. Document to ensure accuracy and quality. Problem determination and resolution process assistance as it pertains to security problems, and breaches. A regularly scheduled security reporting system which identifies "abuses" and documents the current security environment needs to be facilitated. REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in CS or related, or equivalent work experience. Project management. Minimum five years information security with and emphasis on development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and experience with security across multiple operating systems - OS/390 (desired), Netware, NT (active directory), UNIX. Excellent communication skills. Experience with RACF, or equivalent, firewalls (checkpoint), UNIX security, internet security.
