Title: Senior Information Security Engineer Our job reference #43 Location: New York, NY Salary range: $100k - $125k Enforce established security policy using available technology and implement the tools necessary to prevent unauthorized access to the company's computing resources. Provide appropriate direction, counsel and guidance for the technical and business implications of the company's security components. Oversee and verify the implementation of necessary security controls to protect the company's infrastructure from intentional or inadvertent attack and from unauthorized access, modification or destruction. Specific Duties: Identify information systems threats and vulnerabilities and calculate risk for Information Systems infrastructure. Implement and manage security tools commensurate with the company's risk tolerance to proactively prevent unauthorized access to the computing resources, detect attacks, etc. Document and maintain management procedures for systems security tools. Assist in establishing incident response protocol and procedures. Work closely with IS Architect, Network Systems Architect, Database Architect, Systems Administration and Application Development teams to ensure that security policies are being followed. Prepare, distribute and analyze reports for management. PKI, authentication, encryption solutions and the Internet are among the highest priority areas of specialization. Excellent application skills and hands-on experience with UNIX, Windows NT, Novell, firewalls, virus detection, proxy servers, intrusion detection and network infrastructure security solutions experience also required. Must be able to identify information system threats and vulnerabilities and calculate risk; must have strong interpersonal, verbal and technical writing skills.
