Additional offerings now include Systems Integration & Implementation Services, Project Management and Trust Services. * As a result of its high profile in the market, our client was recently acquired by a leading global provider of secure eCommerce solutions for Internet applications, remote banking, virtual private networks (VPN's) and data critical eCommerce activities. A broad based security business, the group's expertise now ranges from smart card technology, secure email, public key infrastructure (PKI) and firewalls, to secure payments and security consultancy/EC Consultancy. This has further increased the knowledge base and depth of services our Client can offer. Whilst our client is now a subsidiary company, they continue to operate as an autonomous unit. THE SECURITY PRACTICE Currently the Security Practice performs the following functions: - Business Risk Assessments and Security Reviews - Advise on benefits, opportunities and policy for emerging security technology including PKI, smartcards, digital certificates, CA, single sign-on, user authentication, permission management - Advise on Trust Services - Product and Solution Selection POSITION TYPE / LENGTH Contract / 5-7 weeks with possible extension or progression to permanent REMUNERATION AUD$ 1100 - 1700 per day (based on experience) LOCATION Australia, Melbourne (or willing to travel to Melbourne 75% utilisation) START DATE ASAP as @ 20/08/2001 THE POSITION We are looking to source people for exciting leading edge security strategy developments in the field of e-commerce. This current opportunity is in a contract capacity (with the distinct chance of moving to a permanent role) based in Sydney with the possibility of working internationally. Applicants must be willing to travel interstate. This highly challenging role requires a senior security consultant with strong technical and industry knowledge in IT/IS security. Our client maintains a strong standing in the security field across multiple industries - finance, government, retail, and technology companies. Consequently we seek candidates with diverse backgrounds. RESPONSIBILITIES Suitable candidates for the position of E-Commerce Security Consultant will have world-class security experience, demonstrable expertise in the e-business/e-commerce area, and a focus on delivering high quality and genuine value to the client. You will have exposure to multi disciplinary engagements and possess outstanding conceptual and analytical skills in the realm of data security, PKI and SmartCards. Great communication and management skills will also be necessary. You will be responsible for the strategic provision of Information Security, predominantly at a policies and procedural level, with an emphasis on holistic security provision. You will be required to take the lead in constructing security policies and systems in accordance with accepted international standards.
